Bolivia is without a doubt one of the best places in the world for high volume dove and pigeon shooting. Where Bolivia stands out most is the incredible hands on service from Jorge Molina and his staff. From the moment you arrive until the time you leave you will feel like you are part of the family and they will do whatever they can to ensure that your trip is best it can be. The shooting is beyond belief as millions of doves and pigeons winter in their lush grain fields from April through October creating awe inspiring shooting that cannot be duplicated anywhere else on earth. The best way to describe it is add the volume of birds of Argentina, with the latin fun and flavor of Colombia and then set it in a tropical jungle setting so you never know what you will see from one day to the next. Now this is not wild jungle but the local farmers mostly mennonite, have carved out huge sections of farm land from the jungle creating incredible fields of corn, sorghum and sunflowers that draw in literally millions of doves and pigeon every year. By law, they have to leave a certain percentage of the land natural creating the perfect place for monkeys and other jungle wildlife to live in unison.

The hunting on the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico is a truly unique experience as this area has seen very few hunters. Some ranches you will hunt have never been hunted before so the quail hold well in ankle to shin high grass. Our outfitter Gallo Munoz, has been running hunting trips to this region for years and our clients have returned extremely happy and raving about truly wild quail shooting experience. Most of the hunting will be on cattle ranches in huge pastures. These ranches are usually flat with slight hills but the ground is uneven and rocky as it is mostly limestone. Be sure to wear a good boot with ankle support. Gallo has a full kennel of well-trained pointers, setters and spaniels as well as a good selection of shotguns available so there is no need to hassle with Mexican gun permits. If you are looking for truly wild quail, you cannot beat the Yucatan for numbers as you can expect to see between 15-30 coveys per day and the way these black throated bob whites fly will have you shaking your head! Again these are 100% wild birds so there may be days when we see more and there could be days when you see less.
